Luckily for the T-Bones, Chad Shindle sent a two-out pitch from Steve Montgomery into center that scored Eddie Pearson and Rick Prieto to give the T-Bones the exciting 8-7 victory in the bottom of the ninth inning.

Fargo-Moorhead starter Mike Peschel notched his third win of the season, and second against Kansas City, as the Redhawks defeated the T-Bones 8-6 Friday night. Peschel made his first start of the season against the T-Bones June 10 and pitched into the seventh inning to earn his first victory of the season. Tonight, he would pitch into the eighth inning to garner a third win.

The Northern League office announced the complete rosters for the 2003 All-Star teams on Friday, and it featured two players from the T-Bones. Rick Prieto was named a starter for the Western Division team and D.J. Johnson was selected as a relief pitcher.

The Canaries came out to an early lead of 6-0, but the T-Bones rallied back with a never-say-die attitude. Designated hitter Eddie Pearson struck back in the sixth inning, by empting the sacks with a three-run jack to right. In the seventh inning, Pearson hit an infield single to bring the game to 6-4.

The first occurred in the first through eighth innings and the second took place solely within the ninth. Luckily for the T-Bones, they came out ahead on both counts as they defeated the Saints 5-4 in a wild evening at CommunityAmerica ballpark.

The game, which went over three and a half hours in duration, featured a back-and-forth affair where no pitcher that appeared avoided giving up at least two runs.

Kansas City T-Bones starter Tony Bacci tried to extend his league lead in complete games last night, but fell two outs short. However, he did pitch into the ninth inning while giving up only four runs in his third win of the season. He gave way to D.J. Johnson with one out in the ninth after giving up a run. Johnson once again showed why he is so dependable out of the bullpen by getting the next two hitters for his seventh save of the season.
