EDMONTON, Alb. – The Kansas City T-Bones had a three-game winning streak snapped at the hands of the Edmonton Cracker-Cats 13-0 at TELUS Field tonight, collecting just four hits off Edmonton pitching in the contest.

The Cracker-Cats scored three runs in each of the first two innings to take a quick 6-0 lead off T-Bones starter Dan Jackson (pictured).  Designated hitter Clint Johnston drove in three of the six runs on two singles, a two-RBI single in the first and an RBI single in the second.  Aaron McEachran plated a run with an RBI groundout in the first and Brian Munhall added a two-RBI single of his own in the second to complete the scoring.

The early scoring was all Cracker-Cats starter Scott Richmond needed as he allowed just three hits over six shutout innings to improve to 8-4 on the season.

Edmonton added two more in the third on a two-RBI single from Tim Ryan, who entered the game in the second after Ryan Radmanovich left the game with an undisclosed injury.  After being held to just one hit in the fourth, the Cracker-Cats broke out for four more in the fifth on four hits, with two coming on a double from McEachran.  Johnston also collected his fourth RBI of the contest in the frame on a fielder’s choice groundout to second.  Jackson left the game after the fifth inning, having allowed 12 runs on 15 hits in a losing effort.

Danny Core pitched a scoreless sixth for Kansas City before first baseman Mario Delgado came in to throw the last two innings, allowing one run on four hits in his outing.

Game Notes:  Every Edmonton starter but Terrance McClain collected a hit in the contest…Three Cracker-Cats drove in three or more runs:  Ryan and McEachran (3); and Johnston (4)…Jackson has now surrendered 21 total runs in his past two starts, a span of eight and one-thirds innings…The T-Bones three-game win streak was their longest since they won three straight from June 14-16.
