Tuesday night, the St. Paul Saints scored seven runs in the sixth inning or later and hung on to beat the T-Bones, 8-5, and increase their lead in the South Division to 1 1/2 games.

After losing slugger Eddie Pearson to the Tijuana Toros of the Mexican League, the T-Bones countered Sunday by signing former major leaguer and Kansas City product David Segui. Segui, who spent last season with the Baltimore Orioles, brings an immediate impact bat to a team which lost one of its most prolific hitters since the team moved to Kansas City in Pearson. Manager "Dirty" Al Gallagher is more than thrilled with the move and believes Segui brings an added dimension to the team.

In a wild contest that saw both teams combine for 22 runs and 30 hits, the T-Bones prevailed 12-10 over the Gary SouthShore Railcats Sunday evening at CommunityAmerica Ballpark. The victory was the 20th of the season for the T-Bones who now find themselves in sole possesion of second place in the South Divison. The Division leading St. Paul Saints visit town starting tomorrow for a four-game set.

What a crazy day for the T-Bones. On a day in which the team lost its most prolific slugger in Eddie Pearson and said goodbye to its shutdown closer, Derek Forbes, the T-Bones surrendered a one run lead entering the ninth and allowed seven runs in the frame capped off by Tanner Towsend's grand slam. When the dust settled, the Gary-SouthShore RailCats won the ballgame 10-4 and handed the T-Bones their fourth loss in their last seven contests.

Kansas City, Kan - After Saturday night's game was suspended by rain, it was the T-Bones who poured on the runs taking the first game of the split, 12-5 over the Schaumburg Flyers. In the second game, rookie third baseman Brandon Jones hit a walk-off homer in the bottom of the eleventh to win it for the T-Bones, 2-1, and capped their first series sweep of the season. KC now sits atop the South Division with an 11-5 overall record.

T-Bone starter Jon McDonald notched his second victory of the season Thursday afternoon with a complete game shutout over the Lincoln Saltdogs, 3-0. The righty allowed five hits and struck out seven batters. At one point, McDonald retired 15 of 16 batters, including 12 straight. McDonald's performance lowered his already team-best ERA to a microscopic 0.83 for the season.
