McCauley, 37, comes to the T-Bones from the Schaumburg Flyers, who named him as their field manager December 12, 2002. McCauley is just the second manager in T-Bones history.

The T-Bones will try to break their per-game attendance mark again in 2007, as they again host 48 regular-season home games. The fifth season at CommunityAmerica Ballpark opens on Thursday, May 17, 2007, when the T-Bones open a seven-game homestand with a 7:05 pm start against the Schaumburg Flyers.

The Kansas City T-Bones went into Sunday's game against Gary riding a five-game winning streak. The streak is still intact, but for the wrong reasons. After rain postponed Sunday night's regular season home finale, the T-Bones were rained out for the second straight game Tuesday night, and will play a doubleheader against the Joliet JackHammers at Silver Cross Field in Joliet Wednesday night at 6:05 pm. Kansas City will now play two doubleheaders in the final five days of the regular season.

The Kansas City T-Bones added a pair of right-handers to their 2006 pitching staff today with the acquisitions of Billy Phillips and Brian Beuning. Phillips, a Miami, FL native, signed with the T-Bones after spending the 2005 season in the Red Sox organization, where he went 0-1 with a 4.15 earned run average and 14 strikeouts in 17 1/3 innings for Boston�s Gulf Coast League club. Kansas City also obtained the rights to Beuning (pictured right) from the Kalamazoo Kings of the Frontier League for a player to be named later.

A 13th-round pick in the 2002 draft, Whealy comes to Kansas City from the New York Mets organization, where he hit .259 with 57 home runs and 219 RBI over the past four seasons.

The Italian team put Ceriani on the preliminary roster for the tournament, which will begin on March 3rd in Asia and March 7th in North America. Veteran slugger Charles Peterson was acquired by the T-Bones from Sussex of the Can-Am League for a player to be named later, the team announced Friday. Peterson, 31, was originally drafted in the first round (22nd overall) of the 1993 draft by the Pittsburgh Pirates and spent six seasons in their system before moving to the ranks of independent baseball.
