KANSAS CITY, Kan. - T-Bones starter Dan Jackson (pictured) allowed nine runs in three and one-third innings as the T-Bones fell to Joliet 13-7 in front of 6,649 fans at CommunityAmerica Ballpark.

The T-Bones took an early lead in the first on an RBI single by Rob Watson.  Jackson held the lead for two innings, but allowed back-to-back doubles to lead off the third, tying the game 1-1.  With two outs in the inning, Jackson gave up an RBI single to Derek Nicholson and, with the bases loaded, an RBI walk to Kevin Sullivan that extended Joliet’s lead to 3-1.

The T-Bones responded with three runs off Joliet starter Nate Sevier in the bottom of the third, scoring first on an RBI double by Al Benjamin before an RBI groundout by Calvin Pickering tied the game.  Neb Brown then drove in the go-ahead run with a sacrifice fly.

Joliet scored four in the fourth on a two-run home run from Tim Hutting and a two-RBI double by Chris Brown to chase Jackson from the game.  Chris Krawczyk relieved Jackson and allowed two more runs to score, giving Joliet a 9-4 lead, but held them scoreless through the seventh.

Kansas City plated two in the fifth before Sevier gave way to Aaron Williams who surrendered a run in the sixth to pull the T-Bones within two.

Joliet put the game out of reach in the eighth against reliever Lavon Lewis, scoring four runs on six hits, including home runs by Derek Nicholson and Kevin Sullivan, giving the JackHammers a six-run advantage.  Matt Schweitzer replaced Lewis and got out of the inning without further damage.  He would stay in to finish the game with a scoreless ninth.

The T-Bones welcome the Schaumburg Flyers to town tomorrow night for a three-game set with Jonathan Krysa going for Kansas City against Brandon Culp for the Flyers.  First pitch is scheduled for 7:05.

Game Notes: Rob Watson extended his home on-base streak to 28 games with an RBI single in the first inning…Dan Jackson threw 42 pitches in the third and 96 over his three and one-third innings…Tim Hutting’s homer in the fourth was the first home run allowed by Jackson this season…Today marked the fourth straight day this week in which the T-Bones have achieved a season-best attendance mark.
