KANSAS CITY, Kan. – The Kansas City T-Bones fell 11-5 to the Winnipeg Goldeyes tonight in front of a record Wednesday crowd of 6,312 at CommunityAmerica Ballpark.

The Goldeyes took an early lead in the second as Walter Young led off with a double before scoring after a balk and a wild pitch from T-Bones starter Trevor Caughey.  Winnipeg would plate two more in the frame on a sacrifice fly from Max Poulin and an RBI single from Fehlandt Lentini.  Caughey suffered the loss after allowing six runs on nine hits in six innings of work.

The T-Bones answered quickly off Winnipeg starter Joel Posey as Neb Brown and Austin Easley scored on a one-out single to left by Jason Belcher (pictured) in the bottom of the second.  Winnipeg extended their lead again in the top of the third with a three-run home run from Brent Metheny.  Kansas City would pull within one once more on an RBI double from Mario Delgado in the third and a solo home run from Jason Belcher in the fourth.

Both teams scored in the fifth before a four-run seventh inning by Winnipeg put the game out of reach for the T-Bones.  A three-run home run by Antoin Gray capped off the frame for the Goldeyes.  Posey earned the victory after allowing five runs, four earned, on seven hits in five and one-third innings.

Brett Reid allowed four runs, three earned, on three hits in the seventh inning.  Justin Costi pitched the final two innings for Kansas City, surrendering one run on three hits in the outing.
