KANSAS CITY, Kan.. – Manager Andy McCauley and the Kansas City T-Bones of the independent Northern League have announced the sale of outfielder Brad Correll to the Boston Red Sox.

“Congratulations to Brad, he certainly deserved an opportunity to move on,” said McCauley.  “He did great things for us while he was here and he’s going to be missed.  It’s a great opportunity for him with the Red Sox and I wish him the best of luck.”

Correll played in all 24 games for the T-Bones, mostly in left field.  He led the team with six home runs, tying him for second in the league.  He also held the team’s highest slugging percentage at .604, also second in the league.  Correll was hitting .333 with 17 RBI and 22 runs scored on the season.  He was also tied with Neb Brown for a team high 13 extra-base hits.

Correll will be placed on the Class-A Lancaster JetHawks roster in Lancaster, CA.  The JetHawks play a 140-game schedule in the California League.
