KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Despite taking a 4-1 lead after three innings, the Kansas City T-Bones fell to the Joliet JackHammers 7-5 in front of 5,026 fans.  The T-Bones have now lost 10 of their last 12 games.

Offensively, Ned Brown (pictured) led the T-Bones, going three-for-four in the contest.  His triple in the first inning scored Rob Watson to tie the game at one.  A groundout by Mario Delgado brought in Brown, giving the T-Bones a 2-1 lead going into the second.

Brown came through again in the third, driving in Aharon Eggleston with a single.  Delgado drove in Watson with a sacrifice fly to put the T-Bones up by three.

Joliet closed the gap with a two-run home run by Juan Diaz in the top of the fifth, bringing the JackHammers within one, 4-3.  The T-Bones added one of their own in fifth when Calvin Pickering drove in Brown with an RBI single, making the score 5-3.

The JackHammers used a four-run eighth inning, scoring three runs off reliever Brett Reid who suffered his second loss of the season.  Reid got just two outs before being pulled in favor of Matt Schweitzer who walked home Cory Harris to tie the game at five.  Schweitzer then surrendered a two-run single to the next hitter, Juan Diaz, to give Joliet a 7-5 advantage.

Chris Krawczyk started his third game of the season and went five innings for the T-Bones.  He allowed five hits and three runs, one earned, in a no-decision.  Two newly acquired T-Bone pitchers, Trevor Caughey and Justin Costi, each pitched a scoreless inning in relief.

The T-Bones are off tomorrow before hosting the Gary SouthShore Railcats in a three-game set beginning Tuesday.  Kenny Durost is scheduled to start for the T-Bones.  First pitch is at 7:05.

Game Notes:  Joliet manager Hal Lanier was ejected in the middle of the sixth inning…Pickering singled in the fifth to snap an 0-for-15 skid.  He singled again in the eighth, going two-for-four on the night…Prior to the game, T-Bones starter Jonathan Krysa was placed on the inactive list with an injury to his throwing arm.
