KANSAS CITY, Kan.—Kansas City used a balanced offensive attack to bail out T-Bones starter Anthony Boughner on their way to earning just their second win in eleven games, defeating the Joliet JackHammers 7-6 in front of 7,022 fans.

The T-Bones 6-7-8 hitters—Brad Correll, Austin Easley (pictured) and Jason Belcher—combined to go five-for-10 with three RBI and four runs in support of Boughner who struggled in his first home start, giving the JackHammers a 5-1 lead after four.

Rob Watson and Mario Delgado also contributed in the winning effort, going two-for-three with an RBI and two-for-four with an RBI and one run scored respectively. Center fielder Aharon Eggleston went hitless in the game, but did manage to drive in his team-high 15th run in the fifth inning on a sacrifice fly.

Boughner gave up six earned runs, walked two and struck out four in six innings.  A T-Bones starter has yet to advance past the sixth inning in 2007. Boughner is the only Kansas City pitcher to have multiple outings lasting at least six innings.

The T-Bones scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth before Travis Schlichting threw scoreless seventh and eighth innings to pick up his first win as a professional pitcher. Dan Jackson gave up two, two-out hits in the ninth before getting the final out and picking up his fourth save.

Joliet was lead offensively by Anthony Monegan who went three-for-five with three RBI and Derek Nicholson who went three-for-five with a run scored.  Nicholson raised his Northern League-leading average to .438. JackHammer shortstop Tim Hutting went one-for-five, extending his hitting streak to a career and league-high 16 games. 

Joliet reliever Kyle Zaleski was credited with the loss as the JackHammers fell to 8-8.

Game Notes:  Wayne House walked through the gates before the game, becoming the one-millionth T-Bone fan to attend a game at CommunityAmerica Ballpark…Four T-Bones had multi-hit games:  Watson, Delgado, Correll, and Easley.  All collected two hits a piece.
