KANSAS CITY, In a separate but related move with “By trading Jones spent the last two seasons as the T-Bones third baseman. Injuries forced him to miss most of last season and he finished with a .225 average, 10 home runs and 32 RBI in just 46 games. In 2005, his rookie season, Jones led the team with 13 home runs in 87 games. He was originally signed out of the T-Bones tryout camp in the spring of 2005.
McCauley has also announced the release of catcher Casey Clary, infielder Dusty Kain, and pitchers Shawn Morrison, Joe Barbosa and Jonathan Hunton. The moves trim the roster to 23 players; the Northern League allows a 22-man roster by opening day.
