03/27/2007 2:33 PM - KANSAS CITY, Kan. – The Kansas City T-Bones are happy to announce that CommunityAmerica Ballpark will serve as one of three locations for the River City Baseball Festival. The other tournament sites include Hoglund Ballpark at the University of Kansas and Free State High School in Lawrence. Several area Kansas City high schools join teams from Omaha, Neb., and Springfield, Mo., to make up the festival’s 24-team field.

Times and dates for the games scheduled at CommunityAmerica Ballpark are as follows:

Thursday, April 19 – 1:30 P.M. – Shawnee Mission West vs. Shawnee Heights
Thursday, April 19 – 4:00 P.M. – Shawnee Mission Northwest vs. Shawnee Heights
Thursday, April 19 – 3:30 P.M. – Shawnee Mission North vs. Blue Valley Northwest

Friday, April 20 – 10:00 A.M. – Olathe Northwest vs. Blue Valley West
Friday, April 20 – 12:30 P.M. – Olathe South vs. Blue Valley North
Friday, April 20 – 3:00 P.M. – Shawnee Mission South vs. Omaha Creighton Prep, Neb.
Friday, April 20 – 5:30 P.M. – Free State vs. Kansas City Ward
Friday, April 20 – 8:00 P.M. – Lawrence vs. Kansas City Rockhurst, Mo.

Saturday, April 21 – 9:00 A.M. – Olathe North vs. Springfield Kickapoo, Mo.
Saturday, April 21 – 11:30 A.M. – Free State vs. Springfield Hillcrest, Mo.
Saturday, April 21 – 2:00 P.M. – Olathe East vs. Springfield Hillcrest, Mo.
Saturday, April 21 – 4:30 P.M. – Shawnee Mission East vs. Blue Valley

The River City Baseball Festival features 24 of the best high school teams and players in the region. It is considered the premier high school baseball event in the Midwest. Tickets for the festival can be purchased at the gates of any of the three locations: CommunityAmerica Ballpark, Hoglund Ballpark, and Free State High School. Single game tickets are $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for students. All-tournament passes are available for $12.00 per adult and $8.00 per student.
