T-Bones Announce Exhibition Schedule

01/03/2007 10:53 AM - KANSAS CITY, KS – The T-Bones will face three American Association opponents during their four-game preseason including former Northern League rival Lincoln. Kansas City will play three of their four exhibition games at CommunityAmerica Ballpark, in Kansas City, KS.

With the Northern League’s December 11 announcement approving preseason interleague play, the Kansas City T-Bones will play its exhibition season against some geographic neighbors in the America Association of Professional Baseball, a league similar to the Northern League.

The exhibition slate begins with a game against the St. Joseph Blacksnakes on Friday, May 4th at home. Both teams will meet the next day at Phil Welch Stadium in St. Joe. On Sunday, May 6th Kansas City will host the Lincoln Saltdogs. This will be the first meeting between the two teams since both were members of the Northern League in 2005. The preseason slate wraps up on Monday, May 7th when the Fort Worth Cats come to town. The Cats are the former team of Kansas City Royals 2006 first round draft pick Luke Hochevar.

The start times for these games have yet to be determined.
