T-Bones Pound Flyers, 12-7

07/20/2003 11:23 AM - The T-Bones pounded the Flyers for 12 hits, and four home runs, including two solo shots from LF Rodney Clifton, in a 12-7 victory Saturday night. Clifton got the scoring started with his first homer in the top of the second inning, giving the T-Bones the early 1-0 lead. Kansas city scored three in the fourth inning on a two run homer from CF Rick Prieto, and Clifton's second solo shot of the game. The home run barrage continued the next inning when 1B Ray Brown capped the four run inning with a three run homer, pushing the lead to 8-0. The T-Bones added two more in the sixth before the Flyers finally responded and got on the board with two runs in the bottom of the inning. The Flyers chipped away at the lead with four runs in the seventh, but the comeback fell well short. Prieto and Brown lead the T-Bones with three RBI's apiece. T-Bones starter Jayson Sigley picked up the win, going 5.2 innings and allowing two runs on four hits, and striking out seven.
