10/26/2005 4:18 PM - The largest ticket giveaway in movie history will take place at Village West near the Kansas International Speedway when 14,000 free tickets to the Legends 14 Theatres will be given away on a first-come, first-served basis. Movie lovers can take advantage of this great event by coming to the Community America Ballpark on Saturday, October 29, 2005 from 9 a.m. until noon. There will be a limit of 2 (two) tickets per person. The Kansas City T-Bones will open their concessions and playground areas for families to join in the fun. The ticket giveaway will take place at the main entrance to the ballpark located at 1800 Village West Parkway.

“We are thrilled to present this free gift to the community,” said Phil Zacheretti, president of Phoenix Theatres and operator of the new Legends 14 Theatres. “We are anxious to showcase our soon-to-open moviegoing masterpiece, and we urge everyone to take advantage of this extraordinary one time offer.”

Recipients can make use of their free movie tickets for any one of the upcoming Holiday films expected to play at the new Legends 14 Theatres. Top hit movies will include Chicken Little, Jarhead, Zathura, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Walk the Line, Rent, Aeon Flux, The Family Stone, Fun with Dick and Jane and King Kong.

Beginning November 11, 2005, Kansas Citians will have the opportunity to enjoy “a moviegoing masterpiece” when the Legends 14 Theatres opens at Village West near the Kansas Speedway.
