Kansas City, KS. – Who says you can’t go home again? Coming off of three consecutive road wins, Kansas City (37-21) was looking to bring that luck home, this time against the Texas AirHogs (17-41). Friday night’s game remained back and forth until the end. A tenth inning home run by the AirHogs would cost the T-Bones’ the game, 11-9.

The AirHogs got hot right away. A hit deep into left field by Dillon Thomas earned him a single RBI scoring Yang Jin. After his double, Thomas advanced to third on a wild pitch. Stewart Ijames would send a ball over the wall to earn him the home run and score Thomas, making the T-Bones play catch up early.

The T-Bones would answer when Noah Pierio Jr. hit a sacrifice fly out to center field to score Dylan Tice, the T-Bones trailed 3-1.

T-Bones’ Colin Walsh would send a pitch over the wall in left field for a three run home run, making the score 4-3. A single into left by Adrian Nieto drove in Pierio Jr., increasing the T-Bones’ lead by one.,

However, the T-Bones could not rest for long as the AirHogs came back strong in the fifth. A RBI single by Chu Fujia scored Jin. Dillion Thomas double RBI, scoring Fujia and Casio Grider, giving Texas the lead again 6-5.

A solo home run by Neito in the fifth would tie things back up. Then in the sixth Dexter Kjerstad would be sent home on a single by Tice to bring Kansas City back into the lead, 7-6.

In what seemed like deja vu, the T-Bones found themselves playing catch up once again. The AirHogs’ Correlle Prime would earn a single RBI, tying the game at seven. A two run home run hit by Ijames would give the AirHogs a 9-7 lead.

In the home half of the eighth, a sacrifice fly by Todd Cunningham scored Kjerstad. Tice scored on a base hit by Colin Walsh just over the head of the first basemen to round out the inning and Kansas City was tied once again as the game went into extra innings.

AirHogs’ Ijames would hit his third home run in the tenth bringing the score 11-9 and would close out the game against the T-Bones.

T-Bones’ RHP Cody Winiarski (1-1) is credited with the loss and AirHogs’ RHP Taylor Wright (2-1) is credited with the win.

The T-Bones are back in action tomorrow night at 7:05 at T-Bones stadium, hoping to still clinch the series against the AirHogs. RHP Tommy Collier is scheduled to start tomorrow's game.
