KANSAS CITY, Kan. – The Kansas City T-Bones extended their winning streak to six with a walk-off win, 4-1, against the Sioux Falls Canaries on Monday night at CommunityAmerica Ballpark.

After five straight scoreless innings for both teams, Sioux Falls was finally able to end the scoring drought with a solo home run from Chris Jacobs in the top of the sixth inning. The first baseman took over as the home run leader for the American Association with 13 home runs to date, surpassing the T-Bones’ first baseman, Kevin Keyes.

The T-Bones evened the score at 1-1 in the bottom of the sixth with left fielder, Kyle Petty’s sacrifice fly scoring second baseman and Player of the Week, Marcus Lemon.

Neither team could take control of the game through nine innings, so the T-Bones worked to extend their five game winning streak to six in the tenth inning.

Third baseman, Jordan Edgerton, launched a three-run walk-off home run to left field bringing in Petty and Keyes to secure the T-Bones’ 4-1 victory and continuing their six game winning streak.

Right-handed pitcher, Luis Paula, picked up the win for the T-Bones, while right-handed pitcher, Jose Ortega suffered the loss for the Canaries.

The T-Bones will continue a three game series with the Sioux Falls Canaries tomorrow night at 7:05 p.m. at CommunityAmerica Ballpark. Come to the ballpark wearing patriotic colors to receive BOGO general admission tickets and celebrate Independence Day with post-game fireworks.
