Vladimir Frias recently finished his third year with the Kansas City T-Bones. Frias, who is from the Dominican Republic, was drafted by the Houston Astros in 2004 but didn’t sign, and then was drafted in 2008 by the San Francisco Giants. He reached triple-A with the Giants in 2009 and then spent the next four seasons in the Boston and Chicago Cubs organizations. He played in all 100 games in 2016, batting .246 with 88 hits, 40 RBIs and 50 runs scored. He earned a career milestone of 200 RBIs on June 22 and a career milestone of 600 career hits on August 28. Frias, who’s been on ESPN’s SportsCenter more than any other T-Bones player, is now second on the franchise’s all-time stolen base list with 62. Now that you know the stats, here are nine things you may not know about Frias, as compiled by Shannon Foster of tbonesbaseball.com.

1. My favorite sports team besides the T-Bones is… The Lakers, because I’m a Kobe fan.
2. The best advice I’ve ever received is… Don’t take anything for granted.
3. If I could meet one person it would be… God—or Megan Good
4. If I wasn’t playing baseball I would want to… Coach. I would want to give back what I’ve learned, and I would like to coach my son.
5. My pregame ritual is to… Put on cologne. Smell good, play good.
6. If I was stranded on an island with only two things it would be… My family and loud speakers.
7. I am most afraid of… Failure or being forgotten, because I am far from home.
8. The best part of playing in Kansas City is… The atmosphere, the fans, the organization—which I am grateful for because I get to keep playing.
9. The biggest influence in my life is… My family.
