Vladimir Frias recently finished his third year with the Kansas City T-Bones. Frias, who is from the Dominican Republic, was drafted by the Houston Astros in 2004 but didn’t sign, and then was drafted in 2008 by the San Francisco Giants. He reached triple-A with the Giants in 2009 and then spent the next four seasons in the Boston and Chicago Cubs organizations. He played in all 100 games in 2016, batting .246 with 88 hits, 40 RBIs and 50 runs scored. He earned a career milestone of 200 RBIs on June 22 and a career milestone of 600 career hits on August 28. Frias, who’s been on ESPN’s SportsCenter more than any other T-Bones player, is now second on the franchise’s all-time stolen base list with 62.
