KANSAS CITY, Kan. – The Kansas City T-Bones announced they have signed outfielder Dalton Wheat.

Wheat, 22 (11-27-93), is a 6-foot-2 and 185-pound left-handed hitter from Augusta, Kan. As a senior this spring at Emporia State, Wheat batted .391 with a .474 on-base percentage, and 88 hits in 57 games. He had 21 doubles, four triples, seven home runs, 62 RBIs, 62 runs scored and 19 stolen bases for the Hornets.

Wheat began his collegiate career at Butler County Community College before transferring as a junior to Emporia State.

Wheat started today’s game in right field for Kansas City at Wichita.

To make room for Wheat, the T-Bones released outfielder Christian Torres.
