GARY, Ind. – The Kansas City T-Bones dropped a tough 3-2 final Tuesday evening against the RailCats.

The RailCats courtesy of a Cameron Newell leadoff triple, took a 1-0 lead after the first inning, against KC starting pitcher Johnny
Shuttlesworth. Shuttlesworth allowed just two runs over five innings, in a no-decision for Kansas City.

The T-Bones took their only lead of the game in the third inning, with two, two-out RBI singles from Vladimir Frias and Tyler Massey.

Trailing 2-1, the RailCats tied the game in the fifth inning, with a sacrifice fly off the bat of Jeremy Hamilton.

The RailCats opened up the bottom of the eigth inning with a leadoff double off Kansas City reliever Brett Zawacki (0-2), and two
batters later Jose Gonzalez drove in Jose Sermo to give the RailCats a 3-2 lead.

The T-Bones would battle in the ninth inning however, off Gary closer Taylor Black (3). Black allowed a leadoff single to Brandon
Tierney and a one-out single to Brett Wiley to give Kansas City hope. Black allowed his third hit of the inning to Vladimir Frias, who
singled to right-field, but Masato Fukae made a perfect throw to the plate, and Tierney was ruled out to end the game.

The T-Bones out-hit the RailCats 10-7, including three hits from Frias. Massey, Blackwood and Tierney each had two hits in the loss.

The T-Bones (6-7) continue the four-game series Wednesday night against the  Gary RailCats (6-7) at U.S Steelyard. First pitch is
