T-Bones Hammer RailCats in Opener

GARY, Ind. – The Kansas City T-Bones won their fourth consecutive series opener Monday afternoon 7-1, against the RailCats.

David Holman (1-0) gave Kansas City five-plus innings out of the rotation, and allowed just one run in his first start of the season.
The T-Bones got the scoring started in the first inning, courtesy of a leadoff single from Robby Kuzdale, who scored on a Anothony
Gallas RBI groundout for a 1-0 lead.

The RailCats tied the game, with their only run of the day in the third inning, off an RBI single from Cameron Newell.

The T-Bones re-took the lead for good in the fifth inning, with Brandon Tierney scoring on a Sergio Leon groundout. The T-Bones plated
additional runs in the sixth and seventh innings, before breaking the game open with three runs in the ninth. Vladimir Frias tripled to
right-field and scored Brett Wiley and Robby Kuzdale.

Kuzdale finished the game with four walks and a single. Kuzdale, who had the eye of the day, watched 23 consecutive pitches to end the game.
Frias also reached base four times, and Jake Blakwood added two hits and two RBI in Monday's blowout victory.

The T-Bones bullpen finished the game with three-plus scoreless innings, including two from Josh Tols. 

The T-Bones (6-6) continue the four-game series Tuesday night against the  Gary RailCats (5-7) at U.S Steelyard. First pitch is
scheduled for 7:05pm, with the action available online at Tbonesbaseball.com.
