KANSAS CITY, Kan. – The Kansas City T-Bones would like to congratulate their vice-president and general manager Chris Browne, who was selected as the Kansas City Kansas Convention & Visitors Bureau, Inc.’s Tourism Advocate of the Year.

According to the announcement from the KCK CVB, Browne was selected because of his “leadership and contributions to Kansas City, KS tourism.”

“I’m honored and humbled to accept an award like this,” said Browne, who started with the T-Bones in 2002, several months before the team played its first game in Kansas City in 2003. “It’s important to promote your city and overall community, and to sell yourself and your team every day! I am proud of our staff and our organization.”

Although he’s worn several hats throughout his career with the T-Bones, Browne, a Kansas City-area native, became the club’s vice-president and general manager in 2008.

“The T-Bones family is very proud of Chris’ leadership and advocacy for our community,” said team president Adam Ehlert. “His award is well-deserved, and we thank him for being such a great representative.”
