KANSAS CITY, Kan. – After the excitement of the games a year ago, the Kansas City T-Bones are pleased to welcome back professional fastpitch softball to Kansas City in 2016, as the USSSA Pride will play two two-game series, July 11-14, at CommunityAmerica Ballpark. Including two additional exhibition games (teams TBD), six games will be played during the four-day span, with all six being televised live on the CBS Sports Network.

On Monday and Tuesday of that week, the Pride will take on the Scrap Yard Dawgs, a National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) expansion team from The Woodlands, Texas. Each of those games will start at 6:05 p.m., and will be followed by an exhibition game at 8:05. And then, on Wednesday and Thursday, the Pride will face the Dallas Charge at 7:05 p.m.

The Pride and the Charge played each other at CommunityAmerica Ballpark last June.

“We're excited to bring the Pride and professional fastpitch back to the Kansas City area and CommunityAmerica Ballpark,” said Jami Lobpries, the vice-president of USA Elite Select. “This year will be an extra special series for fastpitch as we bring together the top professionals and the top amateur players in the game all in one location.”

“We’re thrilled to be bringing this event back to Kansas City and adding to the success of last year,” said T-Bones vice-president and general manager Chris Browne. “It will be a great way to highlight CommunityAmerica Ballpark on the CBS Sports Network, and a great event for our fans, partners and Wyandotte County. This gives us a chance to expose our product to the youth softball fans and players in the metro.”

In advance of the July games, Lauren Chamberlain, the all-time NCAA softball home run leader from the University of Oklahoma who’s now playing with the USSSA Pride, will be at the T-Bones’ preseason game against Winnipeg on Friday, May 13, for a home run derby and other fun activities.

Tickets for this summer’s NPF games will go on sale to the public on Monday, April 11, at the Providence Medical Center Box Office at CommunityAmerica Ballpark or by calling 913-328-5618.
