KANSAS CITY, Kan. – The Kansas City T-Bones announced they have acquired infielder Jimmy Mojica and a player to be determined from Laredo in exchange for pitchers Danny Gutierrez and Kyle DeVore.

Mojica, who turned 32 on Nov. 3 and makes his home in nearby Leavenworth, Kan., played for the T-Bones during 2010 and most of ’11. In 179 games for Kansas City, he batted .293 with 201 hits, including 32 doubles and 20 home runs, along with 84 RBIs and 128 runs scored. Mojica, who has spent time in the Milwaukee and Seattle organizations, is a career .294 hitter with 857 hits, 50 home runs and 356 RBIs. Mojica played collegiately at Kansas City Kansas Community College. He was the Rookie of the Year in the American Association in 2006, while playing for the St. Joe Black Snakes.

The T-Bones claimed Gutierrez off waivers from St. Paul on Aug. 30, but placed him on the disabled list for the rest of the season. Likewise, after appearing in five games (all starts) in 2015 for the T-Bones, DeVore suffered a season-ending injury. He went 0-2 with a 4.94 ERA.
