T-Bones Offense Erupts; Clobber the Hounds

LINCOLN, Nebraska – The Kansas City T-Bones won their third consecutive game, Thursday night 11-2 against Lincoln at Haymarket Park.

The T-Bones recorded 19 hits, and scored 11 runs to take the first two games in Lincoln, behind starting pitcher Bobby Doran (8-1). Doran, picked up his second win of the road-trip, and allowed just three hits and one run, over seven dominating innings.

The T-Bones offense erupted, off Lincoln rookie starting pitcher Ryan Strufing (0-1). Strufing was charged with four runs over five innings. The T-Bones scored in the opening frame for the second consecutive inning. With Ryan Cavan at first base, Adam Bailey lined a double into the alley, and scored Cavan with two-outs for an early 1-0 lead. Bailey, has seven, two-out RBI's, over his last three games.

Lincoln reliever Casey Collins, pitched four innings in relief, and was charged with seven earned runs on 13 hits. Derek Loera, finished the game for the T-Bones, as he pitched two innings, and allowed one run on two hits.

The T-Bones offense received three hits from Ryan Cavan, Adam Bailey, Robby Kuzdale and Vladimir Frias. Jake Blackwood, Alex Marquez and Jacob Hayes all had two hits apiece. Cavan had a team-high three RBI. In two games, the T-Bones have 34 hits, and have out-scored Lincoln 18-2 in the past two games.

The T-Bones (28-19), continue the eight-game road-trip, Friday night at 7:05 pm against Lincoln (21-31) at Haymarket Park. Casey Barnes (2-3) for Kansas City gets the start, as he will oppose Zach Varce (0-3) from Lincoln.
