KANSAS CITY, Kan. – The Kansas City T-Bones announced they have signed pitcher Bobby Doran to a contract for the 2015 season.

Doran, 26 (03-21-89), is a 6-foot-6 and 235-pound right hander from Flower Mound, Texas. The Houston Astros selected Doran in the fourth round of the 2010 MLB June Amateur Draft out of Texas Tech University. He’s spent the majority of his five-year professional career in the Astros’ organization. In 2014, he split time in triple-A with Houston and the Chicago White Sox, going 7-6 with a 5.43 ERA in 30 appearances (18 starts).

Doran has a career record of 37-22 with a 4.89 ERA, 373 strikeouts and 177 walks in 559 2/3 innings. Overall in triple-A, Doran is 10-6 with a 5.07 ERA, and 14-4 with a 3.83 ERA in double-A.

“Bobby will add some upper level experience to our staff,” said T-Bones manager John Massarelli.

Doran is expected to start tonight’s game against Sioux City at 7:05 at CommunityAmerica Ballpark.

To make room for Doran on the roster, the T-Bones placed pitcher Kyle Brady on the Inactive List.
