08/31/2004 1:18 PM - The Kansas City T-Bones scored twelve runs in the second through fifth innings and got six innings of one-run ball from starter Greg Bicknell (12-3) in posting their eighth consecutive win, a 12-4 triumph over the Lincoln Saltdogs in front of 3,702 at CommunityAmerica Ballpark in Kansas City, KS.

The T-Bones plated three in the second, two coming on a Rick Prieto single to center, but exploded for six in the third, with the big blow a three-run double off the bat of Jack Jones. Jones was 2-for-4 in the game and drove in a season-high four runs from the number nine slot in the lineup.

Lincoln starter Ryan Trytten (3-5) struggled with his control early, walking in a run immediately before Jones' double. He lasted only 2.2 innings while walking five and allowing eight hits in his second start of the season.

Bicknell, who is now tied for the league lead in wins with Joliet righty Rich Hyde, worked six innings while striking out five and scattering six hits. He gave way to reliever Ryan Hader, who worked a scoreless seventh and eighth innings before allowing three runs in the top of the ninth while earning his first save of the season.

Notes: Ray Brown singled in the fourth to extend his hitting streak to seventeen, which ties for the team high for the season (Prieto, 7/17-8/6) and one short of the Northern League high for the season, 18 by Sioux City's Casey Baker... Prieto left the game in the third inning to rest his injured finger... Hader's appearance was his first since August 18... The Joliet JackHammers lost 13-3 and fell 3 games back of Kansas City with five to play... Schaumburg remains two back after beating Gary 13-6, but a tie between those two teams would result in the T-Bones winning the second half... magic number for a tie with Schaumburg is three.
