CommunityAmerica selects new CEO

01/30/2015 7:07 AM -

One of the T-Bones’ original partners, CommunityAmerica Credit Union, announced Thursday that its Board of Directors selected Lisa Ginter as its new Chief Executive Officer effective March 1. Ginter will be replacing Dennis Pierce, who’s retiring after more than 20 years as the company’s CEO. Ginter recently was selected as one of KC Magazine's “Influential Women.” In 2014, she helped launch Women2Women, an organization of women executives at $1-billion-plus credit unions whose mission is to learn from each other and exchange ideas.

“I look forward to expanding upon the wonderful foundation we have built together over the years,” Ginter said in the company’s release. “In collaboration with our Board and executive team, we have plans to help more and more Kansas Citians achieve financial peace of mind, something I feel personally passionate about. …I’m humbled to have been chosen to lead CommunityAmerica Credit Union in such a noble endeavor.”

The T-Bones and CommunityAmerica Credit Union have been partners since the team’s first season in Kansas City, with the naming of CommunityAmerica Ballpark.

“The T-Bones are proud to be affiliated with CommunityAmerica Credit Union, especially upon the announcement of Lisa Ginter as the incoming CEO,” said T-Bones president Adam Ehlert. “I am personally thrilled for Lisa. And as a customer, I am excited for the fellow members of CommunityAmerica Credit Union. Lisa’s professionalism and leadership style prove that even a $2-billion organization can feel like a family. The credit union is in great hands!”
