Read nearly any newspaper – actual paper or online – today and you’re bound to come across a column about things for which that particular columnist is thankful. Well, here at tbonesbaseball.com, we thought it’d be fun for members of the front office to share of few things we’re thankful for.  

So, in alphabetical order (after the first three), this year we’re especially thankful for...

Adam Ehlert, President
1. Exciting baseball in Kansas City.
2. Turkey.
3. Stuffing.
4. The fact that my wife is so enthusiastic for turkey and stuffing that she requested it for her birthday dinner two months ago!

Chris Browne, Vice-President/General Manager
1. A happy and healthy family.
2. Thanksgiving Day with extended family and a football in my hand.
3. Any day at CommunityAmerica Ballpark with our fans #TBONESNATION.
4. World Series memories for my 7-year-old son! It’s amazing where baseball dreams and memories can take you if you let them!
5. A shut-down bullpen.

John Massarelli, Manager
1. That Jesus has blessed me with such a wonderful life and did it in the greatest country in the history of the world.
2. That my daughter has one semester of college left.
3. That we only take one trip to Laredo this season.

“I am thankful for the U.S. of A., the MLB wild card, burgers served without mayo, Bill Self, drivers who follow the rules of the road, 1990’s country, Andy Reid, frozen pizza, clothes fresh out of the dryer, long underwear, spell check, a mountain berry blast Powerade on the Sunday side of a road trip weekend, mini corn dogs, Forrest Gump, dri-fit clothing, the snooze button, manufacturers who don’t use slotted screws, Nashville, sunglasses, the Internet, the combination of chocolate and peanut butter, Sons of Anarchy, Dairy Queen’s s’more commercial, sharp corners when I have an itch on my back, crab Rangoon, anything that has Chris Farley, and, of course, curling up with any book by Matt Fulks.”

Crystal (McQuain) Collins, Director of Ticket Sales
1. My puppy, Hank, for always being willing to cuddle or lay on my feet to keep them warm.
2. My husband Jeff and our new marriage so I know I will never be alone.
3. My teeth, so I can eat all the food I want this Thanksgiving.
4. Elastic-waist pants, also so I can eat all the food I want this Thanksgiving.
5. Netflix for entertaining me when cable fails.
6. And Finally I am thankful for My Keurig coffee maker for always giving me the hope I need to get out of bed each morning.

Matt Fulks, Sr. Director of Broadcasting and Media Relations
1. Christ. It seems blasé to list religion first, but spend a few minutes with someone like Eddie Kennison or Mike Sweeney and you’ll be reminded that leading off with this should never seem trite.
2. Family, especially my wife and our three kids, and friends. When you’re an extreme introvert, it’s nice to have a few people around you who can put up with your quirkiness.
3. Chappell’s Restaurant and Sports Museum. Wonderful food inside the Midwest’s best sports museum.
4. Pineapple and Canadian bacon. The person who first decided to try that odd combination on a pizza is a genius. Plain and simple.
5. People who buy books — especially recent books about the Royals and Chiefs written by some hack who happens to work for the T-Bones.

Stephen Hardwick, Assistant Director of Group Sales
1. Family — They taught me everything I know and they’re an extremely supportive group.
2. Friends — I have a great cast of friends who keep me on my toes at all times.
3. Cold Weather — Love this weather, yet I am ready for a heavy snowfall.
4. Kansas City T-Bones — I work for a tremendous organization that has given me every opportunity to succeed, and the other staff members are great to work with.
5. Mizzou — I was able to receive a Sport Management degree from the best university in the state.
6. America — We still live in the greatest nation in the world, let’s not take it for granted.

1. Friends and Family.
2. Having a job that I love.
3. Being able to live in Kansas City.
4. Baseball – pitchers and catchers report in 12 weeks!

Karen Slaughter, Bookkeeper
1. GOD.
