08/11/2004 10:40 AM - ST. PAUL, Minn. - Behind a three-run double from Ray Brown and Eddie Pearson's 22nd homer of the season, the Kansas City T-Bones pounded the St. Paul Saints, 14-4, at Midway Stadium Wednesday night.

St. Paul scored first, with Josh Renick, who had walked, scoring on a fielder's choice by Nick Gretz. The Saints scored first for the first time in the series and led 1-0 after one inning. The T-Bones scored a two-out run in the top of the second, a Rick Prieto single bringing in Matt Ceriani to tie things up. It didn't stay tied for long; St. Paul slugger Guye Senjem homered to lead off the bottom of the second.

It'd remain 2-1 until the top of the fourth, when Ray Brown (4-6, 4 RBI) came to the plate with the bases loaded. Brown delivered his first hit with the bags juiced this season to make it 4-2, T-Bones, and Kansas City would never look back.

The T-Bones put up a five spot in the top of the fifth, the big blow a three-run Pearson homer to make it 9-2. Kansas City wasn't done; they put up five runs in the top of the sixth to make it 14-2, with five different T-Bones driving in runs in the frame. The fourteen runs, and accompanying nineteen hits, were both season highs for the T-Bones.

After the first two innings, Greg Bicknell settled down, working six innings and allowing just two runs while striking out four. Ryan Hader worked the seventh and eighth for Kansas City, allowing two runs on a single by Lou Lucca, and Derek Forbes worked a scoreless ninth for the T-Bones.

Kansas City sends Jonathan Krysa to the hill against RHP Brad Purcell Thursday night in a 7:05 start in Winnipeg. The T-Bones will play four against the Goldeyes before coming home. The games will be broadcast on www.tbonesbaseball.com and All Comedy Radio 1340.

Game Notes: Pearson walked intentionally twice to set a league record with 14 on the season... Every T-Bones starter except Phil Thompson and Cody Nowlin had hits in the game... Ceriani scored four runs for the T-Bones... Bicknell's win was his ninth of the season... Chris LePine was 4-4 and scored 3 runs... Joliet and Schaumburg both lost Wednesda night, so the T-Bones are in second place, 1 1/2 games back of front-runner Joliet.
