Donnie Webb and Ryan Pineda propelled Winnipeg to a 6-3 victory over the T-Bones at CommunityAmerica Ballpark in Monday night’s exhibition matchup.

Pineda was the star at the plate for Winnipeg, going two for four with a walk, double, home run and three RBIs. The two outs he made were line drives hit to the outfield. Webb added two RBIs for the Goldeyes (4-1).

The T-Bones (2-3) struggled to get out of the second inning, allowing the first five Goldeyes to reach base safely. Three of those ended up scoring. Kansas City controlled the damage by forcing an inning-ending double play, but the three runs would ultimately be the difference in the game.

Winnipeg pitchers were stellar early, not allowing a run and only three hits through the first six innings. The T-Bones added three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning, scoring off an error, a bases-loaded walk and an infield single.

Pat Doyle pitched well in relief for the T-Bones, keeping the team within striking distance.

The T-Bones will look to even up the exhibition series with Winnipeg on Tuesday night, before the regular season kicks off Thursday, when the T-Bones host the Lincoln Saltdogs at CommunityAmerica Ballpark. First pitch for both games is set for 7:05 p.m. Tickets are available by calling the Providence Medical Center Box Office at CommunityAmerica Ballpark at 913-328-5618.
