After leaving 21 runners on base the two games prior, the Kansas City T-Bones stranded another 10 in an eight-hit outing Sunday night as the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks completed the sweep, 4-2, in front of 5,073 at CommunityAmerica Ballpark.

Kansas City opened the scoring in the first inning with a Matt Padgett double that scored Kennard Jones, but the T-Bones’ offensive domination ended there. Despite an additional eight hits, the home team’s scoring was capped with a sixth-inning run helped along by a RedHawk error and fielder’s choice.

Fargo-Moorhead responded to the Kansas City lead in the second inning, answering with three runs to score Keith Brachold, Tim Alberts and Buddy Snosnoskie, who reached on a double and two singles, respectively. They added an insurance run in the sixth inning on a Sosnoskie sacrifice fly, which ended the night’s scoring.

Lucas Irvine (6-5) went seven innings for the T-Bones, allowing all four RedHawks runs on seven hits. Both Dustin Loggins and Shaun Garceau threw 1 inning in relief. Both relievers struck out one.

Brian Ernst (4-2) allowed five hits over 5 1/3 innings. Joe Harris (5) made his third appearance of the series and earned the save after going 2 2/3 innings. Harris pitched 6 1/3 innings over the three games and did not allow a run.
