SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Kansas City T-Bones appeared to be headed for their second sweep of the season, but four unanswered runs from the Sioux Falls Canaries in the final four innings gave the home team a series-ending 6-3 win Sunday afternoon.

The T-Bones went down 2-0 right out of the gate when Sioux Falls scored two runs on four consecutive hits to start the game off of Kansas City starter Rick Zagone.

The visitors rallied in the third inning, scoring all three of their runs to take a 3-2 lead after both Anthony Davis and Kennard Jones walked to leadoff the inning. Jairo Perez singled in Davis and Matt Padgett drove in Jones, and the T-Bones would take the lead when Petey Paramore was able to drive in Perez on a sacrifice fly. Jones went three-for-four and Perez went two-for-five, pushing their multi-hit streaks to four and three, respectively.

The Canaries got a game-tying home run from Jake Taylor in the fifth inning, and Tim Pahuta's 22nd home run of the season in the sixth gave the Canaries the lead for good at 4-3. A two out, two-run triple from Kevin Dultz off T-Bones reliever Sean Toler iced the game at 6-3.

Zagone (0-1) allowed four runs on 10 hits and struck out four. Sioux Falls starter and league strikeout leader Ben Moore (8-5) worked seven innings and allowed all three runs on six hits, but walked four. Canaries closer Alan DeRatt picked up his 16th save of the season with a scoreless ninth inning.

The T-Bones win the series two games to one and now head to Gary to begin a three-game series with the RailCats on Monday night.
