Newark, N.J. - Ray Sadler blasted two two-run home runs and totaled five RBIs as Kansas City blew out Newark, 12-5, and avoided being swept at Bears & Eagles Riverfront Stadium.

Sadler, who now has three homers in his last two games and four on the road trip through six games – after going nearly a month without a homer – finished the game two for five. He now has 14 homers and 50 RBIs on the season.

The T-Bones jumped on Newark starter Omar Javier (0-2) in the first, scoring three runs on three hits, including the first of Sadler’s two home runs. And, with the offense giving him an early lead to work with, KC starter Devin Anderson (7-5) settled in and pitched well, holding the Bears scoreless until the seventh inning.

Kansas City put the game away against Javier with a four-run third, in which the T-Bones batted around and sent 10 men to the plate. KC ended the inning with four runs on four hits and one error, including a two-run single by Adam De La Garza.

With the win, Kansas City salvages the finale of the three-game set and improves to 42-36. The T-Bones now travel to the Boston suburb of Worcester to take on the Worcester Tornadoes in a three-game series beginning on Thursday night at 6:05 CT. The game can be heard on 1660-AM (the KMBZ Business Channel) and online at www.tbonesbaseball.com.
