Heartbreaker for T-Bones, 3-2

07/13/2004 1:33 PM - SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - The Kansas City T-Bones (20-29, 0-1) got a masterpiece of a pitching performance from Jonathan Krysa, but a walk-off homer by Glenn Davis lifted Sioux Falls (17-32, 1-0) over the T-Bones in front of 2,208 in Sioux Falls, S.D., Monday night.

Krysa, who at one point retired 12 in a row, had allowed just three hits going into the ninth inning. He surrendered a leadoff single to Felix Pagan, and with two outs pinch hitter Clark Parker singled off Krysa’s left instep.

Krysa gave way to reliever D.J. Johnson (0-3), who allowed the game-winning home run that gave the Canaries the win. Cory Walters went the distance for the Canaries to earn the win, his third of the season against three losses.

The T-Bones got on the board in the third inning when Ray Brown singled in Rick Prieto, who had walked. Eddie Pearson led off the sixth inning with a solo home run to make it 2-0.

The T-Bones will send RHP Greg Bicknell (4-2, 3.66) to the hill tomorrow to face LHP Rob Ellis (2-5, 3.79) in a 7:04 pm start. The game will be broadcast on All Comedy Radio 1340 and
