Notes: Brown's home run in the sixth was his tenth of the season... Chris LePine's single in the sixth extended his hitting streak to a team-high eleven games (Pearson 11, 6/5-6/16)... Eddie Pearson came to the plate representing the tying run in the eighth inning with two outs and the bases loaded, but grounded into a fielder's choice to end the threat... Pearson hadn't appeared in a game since straining his quadriceps against Gary on July 6th.
