Have you ever wanted to experience life on the road with the Kansas T-Bones? Well, here’s your chance. Sort of. For the first time, T-Bones fans can follow their team on the road on a club-sponsored trip. On Sunday, June 17, fans are welcome to join the first ever fan road trip to see the T-Bones take on the Wichita Wingnuts.

Organized by the T-Bones’ promotions team, this unique experience costs $45, which includes a bus ticket, a game ticket, Thunderstix and a T-Bones T-shirt. 

“I think it’s nice for our fans to get a feel of what it’s like to be a fan in a visiting stadium, to get a feel of how the opposing team is treated,” T-Bones manager Kenny Hook said. “I think it’s great for our players to be in Wichita on the road but still have fans there supporting them.”

A similar trip was planned last season, but not enough fans signed up, so the trip was cancelled.

“Last year we didn’t get the word out fast enough, so not enough people were signed up for the busses,” said Erik Ernst, the main promotions team member coordinating the trip. “We just want to provide our fans with affordable experiences with the T-Bones.”

Fans are allowed to bring coolers and food onto the busses, and if they are over 21, alcoholic beverages. The bus leaves from and returns to the T-Bones parking lot at CommunityAmerica Ballpark, where of course, parking is always free.
