The Kansas City T-Bones will celebrate their 10th season of FUN…WELL DONE! in 2012, and have released a special logo to commemorate the occasion.

The 2012 campaign will be the T-Bones 10th since moving to the Village West area of Kansas City, KS in September 2002. The team broke ground on the privately-funded CommunityAmerica Ballpark that fall, and welcomed independent league baseball to the area just nine months later. Over the last nine seasons the team has garnered numerous accolades, including three Organization of the Year awards in 2004, 2007 and 2010; and a league championship in 2008. CommunityAmerica Ballpark also earned two Field of the Year awards during the 2009 and 2010 seasons.

The T-Bones partnered with the marketing firm of Bailey Lauerman, who also works with CommunityAmerica Credit Union, to create the image, which merges the highly-recognizable image of the team’s bull logo with the number 10.

“After looking at many complicated and graphically fantastic versions, we instantly appreciated this logo’s simplicity,” T-Bones President Adam Ehlert said. “Its purpose is clear, and will be consistently used through this season’s celebration of our tradition, players and coaches, and most importantly of all, our fans!”

In addition to its success on the field, the team has established itself as one of the top draws in all of independent baseball with an average attendance of 5,471 over the last nine seasons. The T-Bones continue to finish in the top five of independent baseball in average per game attendance each season, and are consistently in the top 85% of more than 300 minor league teams in that category.

The team is planning a variety of events and giveaways to celebrate this milestone. Fan-favorite giveaways such as T-Bones replica jerseys and fleece blankets are back, as well as the first ever stadium canvas art giveaway. Appearances by former T-Bones are being planned as well, including visits by former T-Bones manager “Dirty” Al Gallagher and 2006 Pitcher of the Year Jonathan Krysa.

Numerous other events, giveaways and appearances are being developed, and will be announced at a later date. Stay tuned to www.tbonesbaseball.com and the T-Bones’ Facebook page for updates throughout the year.
