Former T-Bones Erik Hamren (2010) and Mike Spidale (2006) have recently been selected as post-season all-stars in the Double-A Texas and Eastern Leagues respectively.

Hamren, who is currently in the major leagues as a member of the San Diego Padres bullpen, posted a stellar 2011 season at the minor league level. The right-hander went 5-0 with a 1.05 ERA in 68 and two-thirds innings between three levels in the Padres system before his promotion to San Diego in late August. He struck out 71 batters in that span while walking just 17. Hamren was 3-0 with a 0.92 ERA in 49 innings with Double-A San Antonio.

Spidale appeared in 133 games for the Reading Phillies, finishing third in the Eastern League with a .326 average. On May 29 the 29-year old outfielder became the all-time hits leader for Reading with a third-inning home run at the Erie SeaWolves, breaking a mark that stood since 2001. It is the second straight season Spidale has finished in the top four in batting in the Eastern League.

There were seven former T-Bones in the affiliated ranks during the 2011 season. Stay tuned to the T-Bones website throughout the offseason for updates on each player.
