Sadler Named Post-Season All-Star08/30/2011 3:32 PM - The American Association of Independent Professional Baseball announced Tuesday that Kansas City T-Bones outfielder Ray Sadler has been named to the 2011 Post-Season All-Star Team. “Ray is one of the most deserving players in the league for this honor,” T-Bones manager Tim Doherty said. “He is a very professional player who has brought consistency to our team both this year and last. It has been an honor to manage Ray over the last two seasons.” Originally drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 30th round of the 1999 amateur draft, Sadler was later traded to the Pirates for first baseman Randall Simon on August 17, 2003. He made his major league debut with Pittsburgh on May 8, 2005 at Arizona and collected his first major league hit at San Francisco three days later, connecting for a home run against left-hander Noah Lowry. Sadler joined the T-Bones as a free agent prior to the 2010 season. Kansas City wraps up the 2011 season on Tuesday night against the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks at Newman Outdoor Field in Fargo, ND. First pitch is set for 7:02. To catch all the action listen live on KUDL Radio Bach 1660 AM or online at www.tbonesbaseball.com. |
