Kris Johnson (6-3) held the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks (43-56) to two runs on seven hits over seven innings to secure the victory in his final start of the season as the Kansas City T-Bones (48-51) earned a 3-2 win on Monday night at Newman Outdoor Field.

Johnson and Fargo starter Dan Blewett (2-5) matched zeros through three innings before the RedHawks struck for their first run in the bottom of the fourth. Jesse Hoorelbeke opened the frame with a double and later scored on a groundout for the 1-0 advantage.

Kansas City answered immediately, scoring three runs on three hits and an error in the top of the fifth to claim a lead they would not relinquish. An RBI double by Keanon Simon opened the scoring before Justin Snyder pushed the second runner home with an RBI groundout. Simon then scored on a single by Ray Sadler to cap off the frame.

Blewett was charged with three runs, two earned, on seven hits over five innings in the loss.

The RedHawks plated their final run in the sixth on an RBI single by Todd Jennings to make the final 3-2. Drew Graham threw a scoreless eighth in relief of Johnson before giving way to Kyle Dahman in the ninth. Dahman struck out two of the three batters he faced to secure his ninth save of the season.

Simon finished three-for-five with an RBI to pace the offensive effort.

Kansas City hurler T.J. Large (5-7, 6.44) matches up against Jack Frawley (4-8, 6.33) and the RedHawks in the season finale on Tuesday night. First pitch is set for 7:02.
