Jim Fasano connected for a two-run home run off Geivy Garcia (0-1) in the top of the eighth inning to propel the Kansas City T-Bones (41-46) past the Wichita Wingnuts (47-40), 3-2, on Tuesday night in Wichita, KS.

Kansas City managed just three hits through the first seven innings and entered the eighth down by one, 2-1. After Garcia induced a groundout to open the inning, Justin Snyder doubled to put the tying run in scoring position. Following a lineout to short by Ray Sadler, Fasano connected on 2-1 pitch for his ninth home run of the season to give the T-Bones a 3-2 advantage.

Garcia was charged with two runs on two hits in an inning of work in the loss.

The T-Bones opened the scoring against starter Junior Guerra in the first inning on an RBI double by former Wingnut Jose Duran. Guerra held Kansas City to the one run on three hits while walking six and striking out seven in six and two-thirds innings of work, but did not factor into the decision.

Devin Anderson held Wichita scoreless until the third when they tied the game at one on an RBI single by Juan Richardson. It was the only run allowed for the left-hander as he surrendered just six hits over six innings without factoring into the decision.

Drew Graham (3-1) took over for Anderson in the seventh and walked the first batter he faced. After a sacrifice bunt, Mike Conroy reached on an error that put runners at the corners with one out. Former T-Bone Jimmy Mojica followed with a sacrifice fly to give Wichita the 2-1 lead.

Graham pitched into the eighth before giving way to Kyle Dahman with the bases loaded and one out. Dahman ended the threat with two quick groundouts before adding a scoreless ninth to secure his sixth save of the season.

Kansas City was outhit 9-5 in the contest but drew seven free passes on the night.
