The Kansas City T-Bones (39-43) suffered their second straight shutout loss as they fell, 3-0, to the Grand Prairie AirHogs (52-30) at CommunityAmerica Ballpark on Wednesday night.

T-Bones starter Devin Anderson (6-7, pictured) and  Lance Janke (4-2) matched zeros through the first four innings in front of 3,667 fans before Grand Prairie struck for their first run in the top of the fifth. With one out in the frame David Thomas connected for his 10th home run of the season to give the AirHogs a 1-0 lead.

The score remained until the top of the eighth when Stephen Douglas began the inning with a single, chasing Anderson from the game. Steven Stewart entered and immediately surrendered an RBI triple to David Espinosa to make the score 2-0. A sacrifice fly by John Alonso later in the inning capped the scoring.

Anderson was charged with two runs on nine hits over seven innings in the loss.

Kansas City had their best opportunity in the bottom of the eighth inning when they loaded the bases with two outs before Janke struck out Ray Sadler to end the threat. Janke earned the victory for Grand Prairie after allowing five hits over eight scoreless innings. Jon Hunton earned his 21st save with a scoreless ninth.

The T-Bones have not scored for 18 consecutive innings.

Kansas City looks to salvage a series split on Thursday night as Trent Lare (3-3, 5.88) takes the mound against a pitcher to be determined for the AirHogs. First pitch is set for 7:05.
