The Kansas City T-Bones (18-26) dropped the second game of their three-game series, 10-4, against the Winnipeg Goldeyes (26-18) Wednesday afternoon in front of 5,804 at CommunityAmerica Ballpark.

Winnipeg took an immediate lead against Devin Anderson (3-6) with a three-run first inning, using an RBI single by Jon Weber and a two-run double by Luis Alen to take a 3-0 lead.  The Goldeyes added a single tally in the fourth and another run on a solo home run by Wes Long to gain a five-run advantage in the top of the fifth.

Anderson left after five innings, taking the loss after allowing five runs on seven hits.

Kansas City scored their first run in the bottom of the sixth when Jimmy Mojica homered off Luis Villarreal (5-0) to begin the inning. Winnipeg then plated five runs over the next two innings to put the game out of reach, 9-1.

Villarreal allowed just one run on six hits over six innings in the victory.

Trent Lare surrendered three runs over two innings of relief and T.J. Large allowed two runs in an inning of work for Kansas City. Martin Dewald struck out two of the four batters he faced in a scoreless ninth to finish the game for the T-Bones.

The T-Bones added three runs in the ninth, highlighted by Jeff Hulett’s two-run home run to cap the score at 10-4.

The Kansas City T-Bones go for the series victory in the rubber match Thursday night as Matt Mitchell (1-1, 5.25) takes the mound for Kansas City against Ace Walker (3-3, 3.86) and the Goldeyes.
