The Kansas City T-Bones (14-21) defeated the Winnipeg Goldeyes (20-16), 13-3, to snap a six-game losing streak and prevent a sweep on Sunday afternoon in front of 5,074 fans at CommunityAmerica Ballpark.

Kansas City took a 4-0 lead in the first, scoring the initial tally against Ace Walker (2-3) on a solo home run by Jimmy Mojica. A two-run home run by Prentice Redman capped off the frame. Kansas City added two additional runs on a home run by Rico Washington in the fifth to push the score to 6-0 and chase Walker from the game. William Jackel entered and surrendered a home run to Ray Sadler as the T-Bones went back-to-back for a seven-run advantage.

Walker suffered the loss for Winnipeg after allowing six runs on nine hits through four and one-thirds innings of work.

T.J. Large (3-4) began the game for Kansas City and allowed just two runs on five hits while walking five and striking out six over six innings in the victory. Winnipeg stranded eight men on base over those six innings but failed to capitalize on the opportunities.

The Goldeyes scored their final run against reliever Trent Lare in the seventh on a solo home run by Kody Kaiser. Kyle Dahman and Andy Shipman each threw a scoreless inning to finish the game for Kansas City.

Kansas City added two runs in the seventh and four more in the eighth to make the final 13-3. A two- run homerun by Washington in the eighth capped off the scoring for the T-Bones.

Washington finished four-for-five with two homeruns and five RBI. Seven of the T-Bones nine starters collected multiple hits in the game.

The Kansas City T-Bones now prepare for a short four-game road trip with a series against the Pheasants in Sioux Falls, SD beginning Monday night. First pitch of game one is set for 7:05 p.m. To catch all the action while the team is on the road listen live on KUDL Radio Bach 1660 AM or online at www.tbonesbaseball.com.
