T-Bones Announce Top-Level Staff Promotions

03/23/2011 8:26 AM -

T-Bones Owner John Ehlert has announced the promotions of Adam Ehlert to company President, and Chris Browne to Vice President and General Manager.

The two have been critical in the creation, dedication and day-to-day operations of the T-Bones since before a first pitch had been thrown at CommunityAmerica Ballpark. Adam Ehlert shepherded the family-owned business’ move to Kansas City from Duluth, MN prior to the 2003 season. Browne was an early staffer, and in a previous role as Assistant General Manager, was integral in the design, launch and operation of the fan-friendly ballpark.

"Chris and Adam have earned these promotions through their strong leadership through good and difficult times with innovation and attention to the core of the T-Bones, our fans,” John Ehlert said. “Along with their recruitment and leadership of stalwarts such as Scott Steckly, Eric Marshall and manager Tim Doherty, each has dedicated himself to producing Fun...Well Done."

Over eight seasons in Kansas City, KS, the team has been one of independent baseball’s most successful, topping the charts in attendance, and receiving numerous industry and local awards. Marking their popularity, the T-Bones have averaged over 5,400 fans per game over their history, and consistently finish in the top five of independent baseball and top ten percent of all minor league baseball in average per game attendance each season.

Since Browne was named General Manager in 2008, he and Ehlert have steered the team through the recent recession, and charted for continued growth and enhanced fan experience. The T-Bones’ 2011 move to the 14-team American Association will foster that, with increased competition and the renewal of local rivalries with the teams in Sioux City, Lincoln and Wichita.

The T-Bones begin their 2011 campaign in El Paso, TX on May 12 and will host the Gary SouthShore RailCats in their home opener on May 17. Season ticket packages and mini-plans are available now by calling 913-328-5618. For information on group outings, call 913-328-5623.
