From Royals Batboy to Assistant General Manager…

05/14/2004 2:12 PM - The Kansas City T-Bones are excited to announce that Chris Browne has been promoted from Director of Stadium Operations to Assistant General Manager, effective immediately.

Browne, a native of Kansas City, currently resides in Lenexa, KS. As a youngster, Browne was the batboy for the Kansas City Royals from 1985 to 1991. At that time, he was attending Rockurst High School and moved on to the University of Missouri, from which he graduated with a degree in sports administration.

After finishing college, Browne moved on to the Jacksonville Suns of the AA Southern League for five seasons, where he held the title of Director of Stadium Operations. With his ties to Kansas City still strong, Browne moved on to the Kansas City MISL franchise, known both as the Attack and the Comets. Working with Zoran Savic for six seasons, Browne held the titles of Assistant General Manager and Director of Stadium Operations.

Browne moved on to the T-Bones in October 2002 and is currently in his fourteenth season in sports. “Chris Browne has been a strong part of the Kansas City community for a long time, and we anticipate great success for him in his new role,” remarked T-Bones General Manager Rick Muntean.
