The Kansas City T-Bones (38-46) secured a series victory tonight with a 5-0 win in the rubber match of their three-game series with the Schaumburg Flyers (36-49).

Two singles and a walk quickly gave the T-Bones a bases-loaded opportunity against Alain Quijano (4-6) in the first inning.  A double-play groundout plated the first run of the contest before a walk to Neb Brown put runners at the corners.  Craig Hurba capped off the frame with a two-run double, giving Kansas City an early 3-0 advantage.

Damian Rolls pushed the lead to four with a solo home run to begin the fifth, his 13th of the season.  Quijano left after a groundout, taking the loss after allowing four runs on six hits over four and one-thirds innings.

The Flyers advanced at least one runner to second in each of the first five innings, but Ryan Knippschild (4-6, pictured) continued to shut the door for Kansas City.  The left-hander stranded seven runners in that span before pitching a perfect sixth to end his night.  Knippschild allowed just four hits over his six shutout innings while walking three and striking out three.

Justin James, Daniel Sattler and Nate Cotton each threw a scoreless inning in relief of Knippschild.  The Flyers left 12 runners on base in the game.

Jacob Blackwood drove in the final T-Bones run with an RBI single in the seventh.  Aharon Eggleston finished one-for-four, collecting a single in his first at bat to extend his home hit streak to 20 games.  Rolls and Jeff Helps each finished with two-hit performances.
