The Kansas City T-Bones (30-39) dropped game two of a three-game series against the Gary SouthShore RailCats (40-29), 2-0, in front of 8,058 fans tonight at CommunityAmerica Ballpark.  It was the second-largest crowd of the season for Kansas City.

Garret Holleran (2-2) threw six shutout innings for Gary, allowing just two hits in the win.  The right-hander retired eight batters in-a-row at one point while striking out five.

Derek Duclos (0-3) retired the first six batters he faced before surrendering a solo home run to Mike Rohde to start the third inning, giving the RailCats a 1-0 advantage.  Eric McNamee doubled to begin the fourth, but a double play ended Gary’s threat. 

A solo home run by Cristian Guerrero started the fifth, marking the third straight inning the RailCats leadoff batter reached.  Following the blast by Guerrero, Duclos allowed just one more hit, a single by Steve Haake in the sixth.

Duclos took the loss, surrendering two runs on four hits over seven innings.  Payton Tweddale allowed one hit in an inning of relief, and Justin James added a perfect ninth to finish the game for Kansas City.

Grant Johnson took the mound in the seventh for the RailCats, allowing two hits in one-plus innings before giving way to Eddie De la Cruz with a runner on first.  De la Cruz retired the next three batters to end the frame.  Former T-Bone Andy Shipman threw the ninth to earn his 10th save of the year. 

Aharon Eggleston and Jim Fasano were the only T-Bones to record a hit, both collecting two apiece.  Eggleston extended his on-base streak to 29 games and his hitting streak to 16 with a two-for-four performance.  Fasano finished the night two-for-three with a walk.

The T-Bones will send Dustin Bolton (3-4, 5.12) to the mound tomorrow night opposite Tony Cogan (6-5, 3.87) and the RailCats for the rubber match of this three-game series.  Sunday is also Breast Cancer Awareness Night.  The T-Bones will be wearing special jerseys that will be auctioned off during the game.  Winners will receive the actual game-worn jersey.  First pitch is set for 5:05.  Single-game tickets for the T-Bones are still available and start at just $6.  For more information, call 913-328-5618 or visit www.tbonesbaseball.com
