T-Bones Announce 2009 Schedule

The Northern League has announced the schedule for the 2009 season. The league will again feature an unbalanced scheduled with six teams competing in one division. The T-Bones will be opening their schedule at home on Friday, May 15 against the Winnipeg Goldeyes.
 
Opening weekend will begin with the pennant raising ceremony on Opening Day followed by a full Championship Weekend. Spanning the three days there will be several championship ceremonies and promotions taking place celebrating the first title in team history. The T-Bones are home for six games to open the season then will return home May 26 through June 3 for the longest homestand of the season, nine games.
 
The 2009 schedule also features four mid-week day games on Wednesday, June 3; Thursday, June 11; Thursday, June 25 and Thursday, July 30. Those games will be 11:05 starts. The home season will conclude with a traditional 1:05 first pitch on Sunday, August 23 against the Joliet JackHammers. All other start times will remain consistent with Monday through Saturday games beginning at 7:05 and Sunday games starting at 5:05.
 
The schedule also features the T-Bones playing at home over eight weekends with fireworks, recognized as Kansas City’s best fireworks, returning following every Saturday home game. You can see a rematch of the 2008 Northern League Championship Series July 31-August 2 as the Gary SouthShore RailCats come to town for three games and return for five games August 7-11. All teams will break three days July 6-8 for the All-Star Game.
