T-Bones Win 2008 Northern League Championship

09/18/2008 1:06 PM - I'd like to share with you the new definition of the word eternity. I recently discovered it.

Eternity is the amount of time elapsed from when the first drop of cheap champagne hits the back of your neck and lasts until the final drop has cleared the bottle and drizzled down to your shoes.

I made this discovery last week in Fargo courtesy of Geoff McCallun and in Gary this week courtesy of Anthony Boughner, in celebration of winning the first-round of the Northern League playoffs and then the Chamionship series.

Thank you fans for your support and patience as we have together built the Kansas City T-Bones into a dynamic element in the Kansas City community that delivers Fun Well Done and now, a Championship. (And for those wags who might say "It took long enough," I promise you we'll stay as committed as ever to more pennants hanging at CommunityAmerica Ballpark.)

Please join me in congratulating Andy McCauley, his coaches and this great group of dedicated ballplayers who refuse to quit.

Further thanks and congratulations are overdue to Rick Muntean, Chris Browne and the entire staff that promises and produces great customer service as we strive for Fun Well Done.

I'll look forward to seeing many of you at our next home game when we hoist the 2008 Nothern League Champions banner at the ballpark.

Sincerely,

John Ehlert

P.S. Special thanks have to go out to the dedicated T-Bones fans who drove to Gary this past weekend to attend the championship games, only to get nearly drowned in torrential rainfall that caused the postponement of three games.
